Today was NotchUp day, it seems--I received numerous invites to the new (as if we need another) job-related, social networking site. Late last year it was Blue Chip Expert. It's all about the potential referral bonuses: "Earn 10% of your buddy's interview fee!" Good grief.

But I suppose in a marketplace like ours where talent is tight, these kinds of operations are inevitable.

(And naturally, I'm registered with both.)

More important, my buddy Gabriel has updated his wonderful website GroupHug, "a place for anonymous confessions, with no editorial bias." The idea's been around for three years, and inspired a book, Stoned, Naked, and Looking in My Neighbor's Window: The Best Confessions from GroupHug.us.

I love ideas like this one. It speaks to the human condition simply and deeply.

And now you can help guide the flow of confessions with a hug (support) or shrug (dismissal). It'll be interesting to see how the GroupHug community demonstrates which confessions have merit or not. It's an addictive experience, and the new design certainly helps.
