Fighting posterity

Before words are carved into stone, read aloud by a celebrity, read into law, sewn into corporate clothing, plastered all over Midtown or Primetime - they are merely toner or pixels.

Mere thoughts. Easily edited. Inches from the trash.

That’s where the vast majority of ideas wind up.

It’s a lot harder to take issue with an idea once it takes on investment.

This is the allure of ideas, and their challenge.

We aspire to permanence and are met with a fear of the same.

I’m not sure there’s a solution here, other than to say, “If not this idea - than which one?”
