L+E: 10 Questions For The Agency Executive

Armano's at it again. Another insightful post providing "10 Questions For The Agency Executive."

Totally agree about empathy being key to adoption, and thus fluency and expertise. To borrow from Armano's post, can you imagine a (print or tv) creative director who doesn't watch TV (or reels) or read magazines? And yet, there's kind of a general shrug of "oh well" when a GCD or ECD or the CCO has zero personal online experience, and they routinely oversee digital projects. Maybe that's why the industry's in such a state.

It's a great list of questions. Some of which I addressed a while back in connection with Garfield's Chaos Scenario 2.0 ramblings.

My answers:

1. Do you read blogs. Which ones?
Conversation Agent, CK's Blog, Logic+Emotion, Jaffe Juice, Ernie Schenck, Pause, Creative Think, Bad Idea, Indeed, Church of The Consumer, SoV, Brand Autopsy, Blog Maverick, PMARCA, Chip Griffin, etc.

2. Do you have a personal blog? What's it about?
You're reading it.

3. Do you participate in at least one social network? Which one?
Twitter. Facebook.

4. Have you ever uploaded a video online? What did you use to do it?
Yep. YouTube.

5. What's your favorite search engine. Why?
Google. I'm familiar with it. Boring, but true. I find what I need.

6. Have you ever used an online classified service like craigslist?
Yep. Sold some furniture.

7. Besides making phone calls—how else do you use your mobile phone?
Taking pictures, email, social networking, blogging, listening to music, watching videos.

8. Have you ever registered a domain name?
Enough to want to stop using GoDaddy.

9. Do you use social bookmarks or tagging?
Yes, sir. But not very much lately. Just falling out of habit, I guess.

10. Do you use a feed reader of some sort? Which one? Why?
Netvibes. Now on the iPhone! Hurray!

How would you answer Armano's ten questions?
