The latest Wired magazine theme is Transparency. Some great articles in there, especially Clive Thompson's piece on the "See-Through CEO."

Open Source. Transparent. It's all kind of the same thing, really. The mystery of how anything is createdā€”be it policy, widgets (sans Apple) or adsā€”has become less mysterious. It's obvious one of the driving forces behind UGC is the unmasking of how films, commercials, videos get made. To ape a recent Gap spot, anything you can do, I can do better.

So where does that leave those of us toiling on the next great ad?

I suppose you could just blog about it.
